X-Panding Drum

The 12" diameter x 4 in wide XD-12 Xpanding drum is the heart of the Ultimate Grinder and represents the "State of the art" in expanding drums for use on high speed sanders.  Each drum is hand made by our proprietary process and undergoes many steps to acheive the smoothest and quietest running expanding drum of this size available.

Single piece aluminum hubs are cast and then machined to high tolerances.  Specially formulated rubber is vulcanized to the hub and machined to final tolearances. 

Slots that allow the rubber to expand and grip the sanding belts are carefully machined into the rubber.  Each drum is then precision balanced to ensure a smooth running, bump free sander. 

RETROFIT YOUR BULLWHEEL
The hub is sized for a 1.000 inch diameter shaft which allows our XD-12 to retofit the Bull Wheel.
